About our space
The Nook Balaclava was founded by Lanie Tobias and Belinda Res as a warm, grassroots community space with a simple vision: to bring people together in a welcoming, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
We offer a range of classes and events, including yoga, meditation, embodiment workshops, counselling, arts therapy, and massage—all designed to support connection, rest, and self-discovery.
Our cosy, light-filled space is also available for hire. If you're interested in running your own offering at The Nook, we’d love to hear from you—just send us an email!
Located in the heart of Balaclava, The Nook is proudly LGBTQIA+ inclusive, wheelchair accessible, and open to all who seek connection, growth, or a quiet moment to simply be.
The Nook is located on the lands of the Bunurong and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and acknowledge their enduring connection to this land.
